Love was in the air, but so was the essence of Paris at a recent wedding welcome party catered by the B&B team. Set against the sunny backdrop of a beautiful private home in San Mateo county, this event was a perfect fusion of French charm and a casual backyard retreat. Designed to welcome guests after long travel days and bring together both families, this Paris-themed soiree was a delightful prelude to a weekend of celebration.

As guests arrived, they were greeted by the soothing ambiance of a backyard oasis. Tables were elegantly set up on a lush lawn, with blue & white patterned linens and soft pink linens. These color choices, thoughtfully curated by lead planner Jessica Arnold, evoked the sophisticated yet romantic atmosphere of Paris. The poolside area became the heart of the evening, with delicious passed hors d'oeuvres circulating among the guests.

B&B’s Senior Event Specialist, Megan Dahlberg, embraced the Parisian theme by curating a menu that was both elegant and comforting. The evening started with simple yet sophisticated passed hors d'oeuvres featuring mini BLT’s and B&B’s signature Parmigiano Reggiano & Chive Cheese Puffs . It was the dinner buffet stations that truly brought the Parisian culinary experience to life. Guests marveled at the Cheese and Charcuterie display, featuring a carefully selected array of artisanal cheeses, charcuterie, and fresh accompaniments like figs, olives, and crusty baguettes. The Steak Frites Station quickly became a crowd favorite, where grilled hanger steak was served alongside crispy golden fries. Other stations offered more French classics, including warm, melty Croque Monsieurs and a refreshing Nicoise Salad, complete with heirloom tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, and seasonal vegetables.

Don’t forget dessert! Crepe Madame set up an action station, delighting guests with made-to-order sweet crepes. The aroma of fresh crepes filled the air as guests chose from classic French flavors like sugar and butter, strawberry jam, and dark chocolate. Watching the crepes being prepared on-site added an interactive and festive touch to the evening, and it allowed guests to indulge their sweet tooth while socializing.

Beyond the delectable cuisine, the Parisian theme carried through in every detail of the event. Signage inspired by Paris guided guests to various food stations, while soft lighting and elegant florals completed the ambiance. The mix of classic French elegance with the laid-back atmosphere of a backyard gathering made this wedding welcome party a truly unforgettable experience.
